Key Features

• Authentic Brass, Handcrafted Quality: Genuine brass, shine-plain finish, worked by hand — no plating, no shortcuts.

• Fill To The Marked Level: Oil poured past the fill line is the most common cause of seepage at the rim — fill to the line, not the brim.

• Handcrafted Weight & Detail: Handmade pieces vary slightly, piece to piece — that's the craft, not a flaw.

• Darkens Naturally: As an uncoated brass piece, it patinas naturally with use, inside and outside — polish it bright in 2 minutes with a soft cloth.

• Glass Cushioned Separately: The glass shade is padded on its own before the outer box closes — the one fragile part gets its own layer.

Description

A steady flame that's meant to burn on and on — through the night, through the festival, through every Nitya Deeparadhana — held inside a brass body shaped by hand and shielded by glass from every passing draft. Velan Store Brass Akhand Jyoti Diya pairs a shine-plain, non-lacquered brass body with a fitted glass wind shade over an adjustable wick knob and oil reservoir, set on a footed base. As per tradition, this diya is used for Akhand Jyot, Nitya Deeparadhana, and festival worship. Because the brass is uncoated, the surface will darken naturally over time with use, inside and outside — a sign of authentic brass rather than a flaw, and easily addressed with a soft-cloth polish. Fill oil or ghee only up to the marked fill level rather than to the brim, and use a soft cotton wick sized to the wick channel so it draws oil evenly. Trim or roll the wick tip periodically to clear soot and help keep the flame steady. Thoughtfully crafted by Velan Store, this Brass Akhand Jyoti Diya is suited for daily ritual use, festival occasions, traditional worship, and thoughtful gifting.
