Mango wood gives the frame its density. At this width, the top surface needs to carry the weight of what you display on it without the centre deflecting over time. The ridged panels give the door fronts a texture that reads well under indirect lighting — they catch shadow and depth in a way a flat painted surface doesn't. The black-and-natural two-tone is the Velin signature: each element (black body, natural inset, gold hardware) exists to contrast the next, and the result is a sideboard that holds the room without competing with the furniture around it.
