This striking table runner is a must-have for your home. An amalgamation of two craft forms-Ajrakh hand block printing and hand embroidery, it has rich earthy tones which are juxtaposed with geometric hand embroidery and glistening mirrors. The Ajrakh printing technique is said to be nearly 4,500 years old. The process of 'Ajrakh' is a long-drawn process involving many stages of printing. Each layer of visible colour is printed after a gap of time so the cloth has time to cure for the day, giving it its unique name (aaj-rakh). Originating in Sindh, Pakistan, and presently crafted by artisans in Kutch and parts of Rajasthan, Ajrakh block printing uses motifs inspired by nature. Hand embroidered and hand block printed, this dining table runner will be a beautiful addition to your table and home!
