This table runner in a classic indigo blue and green with red thread highlights, is an amalgamation of two craft forms - Ajrakh hand block printing and hand embroidery. It is a unique must have for your home! The Ajrakh printing technique is said to be nearly 4,500 years old. The process of 'Ajrakh' is a long-drawn process involving many stages of printing. Each layer of visible colour is printed after a gap of time so the cloth has time to cure for the day, giving it its unique name (aaj-rakh). Originating in Sindh, Pakistan, and presently crafted by artisans in Kutch and parts of Rajasthan, Ajrakh block printing uses motifs inspired by nature. Hand embroidered and hand block printed, this dining table runner offers the perfect option for your table. Beautiful and practical, it is both easy to clean and heat resistant, ensuring it protects your dining table.
